Stewardship

Inquire

Psalm 24:1 tells us that God owns the world and everything therein. As children of God, we are stewards entrusted with the responsibility of managing what belongs to God.

The Purpose of Tithing and Offering

A tithe is a tenth (10%) of your income which is to be given for the support of the Lord’s work. In the Old Testament, the tithes were given to the temple. In the New Testament, the tithes are given to the church. Tithing is also an act of obedience which reveals the true value system of our heart and reflects our love for God and our commitment to invest in His eternal work. Moreover, tithing enables us to support God’s work while moving God to open up heaven’s windows to bless us beyond our wildest dreams.

Offerings are gifts which we bring, outside of the 10% of our income. The amount will be done by the leading of the Holy Spirit, influenced by our income, our love, and our faith.

Activate your faith when you give. We encourage you to …

  • Be in the will of God – Eph. 5:17
  • Plan ahead to give – I Cor. 16:1-2
  • Give cheerfully – 2 Cor. 9:6-7
  • Give wholeheartedly> – 2 Cor. 9:7
  • Give for God’s glory – 2 Cor. 9:12, 13

We pray that as you grow, that your faith in God works will continue to grow and bless you mightily.
